Technician #2: "Do they know the sex of the baby?"
Technician #1: "Yes."
Technician #2: "There's no doubt that it's a boy. And he's not shy about it, either..."
So we're having a boy! Definitively, apparently. I've had a gut feeling from the beginning that it was a boy, as I have tended to gravitate towards baby boy clothes in stores and hadn't really given much thought to names for girls. Realistically, I had a 50-50 chance of guessing correctly, and much like my reaction after the 12 week ultrasound, I am absolutely amazed that all this is really happening.
Knowing the sex of the baby makes the experience all the more real. We're not just a hypothetical family, we're three people with three names who have a future together.
We can't wait to meet you, Oliver!
